keeping your catch in the wash makes for great photos

South Australian born and bred, I have been fishing fresh and saltwater around the SA coast for as long as I can remember.

I spent my early years primarily targeting the elusive mulloway and cracking the big fish code. Many years were spent learning large pelagic feeding patterns. Cracking the mulloway code has lead the way for my fishing, I began to apply the same patterns learnt from catching large mulloway to every other large pelagic I could find.

Over the years I have adapted this code to each fish species. Opening up a new world of XOS sized fish. Huge kingfish and monster Murray cod have been just two in my focus for the past 5 or so years, being able to consistently catch fish over 50lb in a range of species was a goal I had formed from a young age.

Also an avid fly fisher I am often found hiking through thick scrub in my quest for trout. Applying fly fishing to the salt has opened up a new world for me and i have many more goals to achieve

Spending the majority of Murray cod season on the river has brought me great success with all river natives including yellow belly and silver perch. Targeting Murry cod over 1m and being able to achieve consistent results has secured me a sponsorship deal with one of the biggest brands in the cod scene JD/EDDY lures.

I can also be found chasing schools of tuna in close to shore. Much of my rec fishing involves flatties on fly and plastics, metro snapper and also a feed of whiting now and again. I also enjoy hunting the deep waters out wide for a range of species. But nothing is more relaxing then a friendly squid session with mates or family.

Writing has brought me a very rewarding feeling being able to share my techniques to help others achieve their fishing goals.
